Schools
Where will children in Summers Corner go to school?
The children of Summers Corner will attend Dorchester District Two Schools, which are rated among the best in the state. High school students will attend nearby Ashley Ridge High School. Middle school students will attend East Edisto Middle School or may choose to audition for Rollings Middle School of the Arts, which is located in Summers Corner. And for our younger residents, Sand Hill Elementary School is located inside the community only a short walk or bike ride away from home.
We are also proud to have a new 1,000 seat Performing Arts Center, the Summers Corner Performing Arts Center.

What types of shops and restaurants will you have?
Corner House Restaurant is currently open. The Corner House Restaurant is a neighborhood gathering spot where Southern hospitality meets bold flavors. Their menu showcases classic American cuisine with a Southern twist, featuring house-smoked BBQ, southern staples and burgers to accompany their full bar.
We are seeking best-in-class local restaurants, along with a mix of local and national retailers. There are a lot of exciting conversations underway, and we look forward to sharing news regarding upcoming retail as it is available.
Will there be a grocery store at Summers Corner?
Yes, Summers Corner will have a Publix grocery store located on the corner of HWY 61 and Summers Drive. It is currently under construction.
